About TBBFMembership/Core Classes

So what's the path to getting connected at The Bridge?

We know it can sometimes be hard to know the purpose and distinctives of a particular church. Whether you're new to The Bridge or you've been with us for a while, our hearts’ desire is that you would attend the following gatherings specifically designed with you in mind. These will help you to learn more about our church and how you might be a vital part of us. Each gathering is offered several times throughout the year in hopes that there will be one date for each class that will be convenient for you. See the CORE Class schedule on this page. To sign up for any of these classes, please contact the church office at 818.776.1500. We'd love to see you GET CONNECTED!

Meet the Pastor Luncheons

If you are new to The Bridge, join us at our next Meet the Pastor Luncheon:

Mar. 21, Jul. 11 and Oct. 10, Sundays, 12:15 p.m., ELL (E Building)

How do I become a member of The Bridge Bible Fellowship?

We invite you to join this local body as we seek to know our Lord Jesus Christ and to make Him known!

To become a member of The Bridge, you would need to complete ALL of the classes above and submit an Application for Membership to the Church Office. Upon completion, it will be approved by Pastor Paul and two Elders and you will be interviewed by an Elder.  For detailed class information, please refer to our Core brochure.

  (2) Membership
Minimize

This class will answer some important questions:  What is church membership?  Why is membership important?  What’s  involved in becoming a member and identifying with this local body of believers? Scripture places a high value on the local body of believers as we follow Christ.  Membership at The Bridge Bible Fellowship is identifying with this local church.

♦  What does this “identification” mean?
♦  Knowing that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have been baptized (John 3:16, Rom. 10:9-10).
♦  Growing in your relationship with Christ and others through personal discipleship (Acts 2:42-47).
♦  Supporting this church through prayer and with your tithes and offerings (1 Cor. 8:1-5,12:4-11).
♦  Serving in a ministry that utilizes your gifts and talents (Eph. 2:10).

Our 2010 Membership classes will be:

Sundays, 10:15 - 11:45 a.m., E-204, Jan. 24, Apr. 18, Jul. 25 and Oct. 24

  (3) Discipleship
Minimize

We are committed to you!  Our desire is for you to be encouraged and strengthened in your relationships with Christ and others (Acts 2:42-47).  We have numerous discipleship groups for any adult age, life stage and gender.  It doesn’t matter if you are new to the church or have just been disconnected, there is a group waiting for you to join them.

What is discipleship and why is it important? What is the purpose of a discipleship group (small group)?  What kinds of discipleship groups do you have?  Is there a place for me? The answer to these questions can be found by attending the Discipleship Life Class.

Sundays, 10:15 - 11:45 a.m., E-204, Jan. 31, Apr. 25, Aug. 1 and Oct. 31
