Current Courses

 

The Bridge Bible Institute's six week session runs Monday, April 5 through May 10, 2010. Jack Littlefield is teaching on New Testament Survey: The Epistles (Romans to Acts) from 6:30 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. and Brian Nicks is teaching on Church History II from 8:10 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Both classes will be held in the K Building (Java) at a cost $30.00 each (plus books). Students can enroll in either of the two courses or in both courses. These are college level classes at a remarkably low price. 

 

Next Session

 

The next Session will run on Mondays from May 17 - June 28th. Jack Littlefield will be teaching "The Book of Revelation" from 6:30 p.m. to 7:50 p.m. and Brian Nicks will be teaching on Church History III from 8:10 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. No pre-requisites required. Both classes will be in the K Buiding (Java) at a cost of $30.00 each (plus books). Don't miss this last session. Classes will return in September!

 

The Book of Revelation. This course focuses on one of the most interesting and exciting books in all of Scripture. Special emphasis will be placed on the purpose, structure and interpretation of the Revelation. You will unlock the secrets of the Book of Revelation by looking up its many Old Testament references and learning how its prophecies fit in with God's overall plan for future events. As you delve into the riches of the Revelation, you will open the doors for a lifetime of the study of Bible prophecy. Join us Monday nights at 6:30-7:50 pm, and get a Bible foundation that you will use the rest of your life! Taught by Jack Littlefield.

 

Church History III. An Amazing thing happened on October 31, 1517, in an obscure German village that involved a professor of theology and the Roman Catholic Church. Do you know what that event was and how it changed the world forever? This course will cover the great events of the Protestant Reformation, the Puritans, the Great Awakening, and how the many different denominations came about. Join us on Monday nights at 8:10-9:30 pm for a six week tour through 500 years of Church History! Taught by Brian Nicks.

The Bridge Bible Institute

The Bridge Bible Institute is committed to training servant-leaders for existing churches, as well as for churches yet to be planted all over the world.  We want to do this by offering Bible college-level training at an affordable price.

 

Our Mission

Our mission is to glorify God by multiplying healthy churches that know Jesus Christ and make Him known. The Bridge Bible Institute accomplishes this mission by offering courses that:

  • Intensify your personal worship and love for Jesus Christ

  • Equip you to serve in healthy churches and...

  • Transform your life through the study of the Bible, the Word of God.

You may pick up an application for The Bridge Bible Institute at the church office or you may download the form (right side of this page).

The registration fee for each course is $30.00.  You are welcome to attend the first class session to see if it meets your needs and then register after class.  Most courses require that you purchase a textbook as well.

 

Instructors:

Jack Littlefield (pictured above) currently teaches Bible and English at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A Van Nuys native, he formerly served for twenty years as a senior pastor in Southern California and Cleveland, Ohio. Jack also taught for four years at Chafer Theological Seminary (Orange, California) and three years at Maranatha Bible College (Ghana, West Africa). Jack holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from UCLA, and a Master of Divinity from Talbot Theological Seminary. He has been part of The Bridge Bible Fellowship family for two years.

 

Brian Nicks grew up in Northridge, CA attending CSUN and receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science with a certificate in Physical Therapy.  He has been involved in the teaching ministries of several churches for over 20 years, teaching every age category from 2-3 year olds to senior adults, with the lion's share being youth and young adult ministry.  He was the Youth Pastor at Shepherd's Community Church for 2 1/2 years while attending The Master's Seminary.  His seminary training was completed in 2005 and he served in the children's ministry at Shepherd's Community Church and The Bridge Bible Fellowship.  Currently he is serving as the Youth Director at Faith Bible Church in Northridge while working full time as a Physical Therapist at Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Van Nuys.  He is married to his beautiful wife Tracy, and has two girls, Kasey and Karissa.

Church History II. Have you ever wondered how the church universal and its teachings were formed? This course is the second of three sessions covering the history of the Christian church - where it came from and where it is going.  You will understand where some of our great confessions and creeds came from and why they were even written in the first place.  Don't know much about history? Then join us on Monday, nights at 8:10-9:30 pm for our journey back in time. Taught by Brian Nicks.
